Megan is a native of Sligo and has had a keen interest in music from a very early age. She is a past student of Sligo Academy of Music and began her studies aged 5. She began playing the recorder and then progressed to flute and piccolo under the tutelage of the late Freya Gillan, Lorraine Howley and Colette Brooks.

During her time at the Academy Megan preformed in various orchestras, ensembles and duets which allowed her to travel abroad and play in countries such as America, Holland and Prague. She has also played with the Sligo Concert Band and the Sligo Baroque Orchestra.

Megan has an immense love for teaching and is currently studying to become a National School teacher in Marino Institute of Education. Megan hopes to pass on her passion for music to her students in a way that motivates them, regardless of their age or level. Megan’s main focus is on each student’s individual strengths and needs while maintaining the fundamentals of good musicianship and proper flute playing.
