Martin Moser – Trumpet/Cornet/Trombone/French Horn.
Martin Moser is a native of Brackenheim, in the South of Germany. He moved to the beautiful Northwest of Ireland in August of 2017.
Since the 1970s Martin has played the trumpet in various orchestras and bands featuring very different styles, ranging from jazz, rhythm & blues, salsa, rock and country to symphonic music with classical orchestras and wind orchestras.
He studied musicology in Heidelberg and then furthered his education by completing conducting courses with the certificate of youth education.
For many years he worked as a wind band conductor and directed his own wind orchestra, for which he wrote and arranged several pieces of music.
Since 2000 Martin found himself playing more and more jazz, swing and old time jazz, and gained experience as lead trumpet player in various big bands.
In the past few years he has focused on developing a brass ensemble, for which he wrote some compositions and also played the trumpet himself.
His musical development has always been accompanied by advanced music courses that involved teaching brass instruments. Martin is a very experienced teacher of Trumpet, Cornet, Trombone and French Horn. He is really looking forward to joining the team at the Sligo Academy of Music and sharing his expertise with the students in the Northwest of Ireland.
